Welcome to the BS3 Community Smallholding site

This is the new (2010 onwards) website for the BS3 Community Smallholding (BS3CSH) group. We’ve launched this site to provide a more easily accessible focal point for people who are interested in what we’re up to.

We are a group of regular people who live in the BS3 area of Bristol and rent a large council-owned allotment plot in Bedminster. We’re not horticultural experts by any means, but we are getting stuck in and growing vegetables and fruit organically as a community group, and hopefully having fun and learning things as we go.

The size of our group fluctuates over time but tends to be between ten and twenty folk generally. We have a subscription fee model for membership and a ‘crop sharing’ scheme for members, based on time contributions as well as fees.
